Scholarship Recipients 2023

2023 Scholarship Recipients

On April 25, 2023, we awarded two more scholarships to graduating seniors at Nease High School. This year’s recipients of the Griffin Moody Scholarship are Kinsey Coulter and Cael Thompson. As we have every year, we had many very good candidates for our scholarships, with all of the students having achieved much during their years at Nease HS. All were considered, but we felt that Kinsey and Cael stood above the others in terms of their accomplishments, volunteer work, altruism, and ambition. We also think both would have been good friends with Griffin.

Kinsey Coulter

Kinsey completed her four years at Nease having participated in girls softball during her freshman and sophomore years. She spent many hours tutoring and working in her church youth group. She also was a member of the National Honor Society and a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was a discipleship leader for Deepen Students, and completed mission trips to Atlanta and Ghana, Africa. Kinsey will be attending Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL in the fall, and plans to study Kinesiology, and will join the mission team with a goal of helping others in many parts of the world.

Cael Thompson

During Cael’s years at Nease High School, he was a member of the National Honor Society and four-year player on the Nease Basketball team, a member of the Athletic Council, and spent many hours volunteering. He spent many hours during his high school years working as a kid’s ministry leader, a church worship leader, and member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He also devoted much time helping with the Inheritance of Hope charity. Cael will be attending the University of Central Florida in the fall, where he will study Business Economics and be a member of the Army ROTC program there.
